FAIRFIELD COUNTY BANK RAISES OVER $4,000 FOR ANN'S PLACE

Danbury, CT - August 13, 2015: Twenty people representing Fairfield County Bank and Fairfield County Bank Insurance Services participated in the 7th Annual Amber Room Run from the Sun 5K on August 13, 2015. Participants included employees and family members of the Bank. Fairfield County Bank was one of the top fundraising teams as they earned over $4,000 for Ann’s Place. The combined fundraising total of all teams was $19,000 in 2015 and over $100,000 over seven years.

Donna Defreitas, Account Manager of Personal Lines for Fairfield County Bank Insurance Services, has personal experience with Ann’s Place which inspired her to get involved with the event. "Ann’s place is such a wonderful resource for anyone whose life has been touched by cancer. As I continue my fight with the disease, through the ups and downs, Ann’s place is there whenever I need them. I’m happy to be able to participate in the 5K ‘Run from the Sun’ event to be able to give something back to the community that continues to help families like mine in so many ways," said Donna.

Ann’s Place is located in Danbury, CT and has provided support to hundreds of people living with cancer throughout Connecticut and the Lower Hudson Valley. Their mission is to provide comfort, support and resources to people living with cancer and to their loved ones. The Amber Room Run from the Sun 5k took place at the Amber Room in Danbury, CT.  All proceeds from the event benefit the support services of Ann's Place.
