FAIRFIELD COUNTY BANK PRESENTS FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER AND CREDIT EDUCATION SEMINAR

Ridgefield, CT - On Thursday, November 19, 2015, Fairfield County Bank along with the Ridgefield Library will be sponsoring a First Time Homebuyer and Credit Education Seminar.  The event will be held at the library from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The presentations throughout the night will address topics that affect first-time homebuyers so that they know what to expect when purchasing a new home. Joseph Chelednik, a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist at Fairfield County Bank, will kick off the night with a presentation of the mortgage process. Following Joe, Rita Bellinger from the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) will speak on low down payments and the Down payment Assistance Program (DAP). Mary Alice Dinho from the Housing Development Fund (HDF) will discuss 100% financing a down payment option that HDF offers to qualifying home buyers. Additionally, Attorney George M. Cohan of Hastings, Cohan & Walsh LLP, will speak on the role of an attorney during the home-buying  process while Stephen Roberts, of Bedrock Credit and Restoration, will cover credit education and restoration.
