FAIRFIELD COUNTY BANK DONATES $5K TO MEALS ON WHEELS OF RIDGEFIELD

March 18, 2015 – Ridgefield, CT: David Schneider, Chief Executive Officer of Fairfield County Bank and Daniel Berta, President of Fairfield County Bank presented Dean Miller, Meals on Wheels Ways and Means Chair and Joyce Ligi, Meals on Wheels Co-Treasurer with a $5,000 donation.

This gift specifically supports Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield’s annual appeal to the community. It is a critical part of their fundraising efforts and is a significant expenditure for the organization. This donation will cover all the costs associated with this year’s community appeal.

David Schneider said “We are proud to support Meals on Wheels and help them achieve their community outreach goals. They have been an extremely important fixture in Ridgefield for over 40 years and we want to ensure they continue serving the people in this community.”

Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield strives to “provide nourishing meals to those needing assistance.” Since 1972 Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield has been cooking and delivering tasty, nutritionally-balanced meals to the homebound elderly of the Ridgefield Community. Their charitable efforts have provided over 20,000 meals to those in need over the past year.
