FAIRFIELD COUNTY BANK DONATES $5,000 TO MEALS ON WHEELS

 

Ridgefield, CT – May 11, 2017: David Schneider, Chief Executive Officer of Fairfield County Bank and Dan Berta, President of Fairfield County Bank presented Dean Miller and Phyllis Appel, of Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield, with a $5,000 donation.

The donation will be used to help fund the supplies needed by the organization to continue to provide nourishing meals to low to moderate income residents. “Meals on Wheels has been an important fixture to Ridgefield for over 45 years and we want to ensure they continue serving the people in our community,” said David Schneider.

Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield has been providing meals for those needing assistance due to age, disability or illness since 1972. Each year, over 120 volunteers prepare and deliver more than 20,000 meals to the residents of Ridgefield. With no federal or state funding, Meals on Wheels relies on the generous donations of individuals, businesses and philanthropic organizations, which help support their mission.
