BOB JONES NAMED CHAIRMAN OF THE INDEPENDENT INSURANCE AGENTS & BROKERS OF CONNECTICUT

Ridgefield CT—August 10, 2023: Bob Jones, Senior Vice President at Fairfield County Bank Insurance Services, has been elected Chairman of the Board at the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Connecticut (Big I CT).

Bob has been an active board member at Big I CT for several years and most recently served as Vice Chair and Executive Committee member. He is dedicated in his service to the Big I and passionate about its mission to advance the value of the independent insurance agents to the community that it serves. With over 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Jones will be an integral member of the Big I CT Chapter Board.

The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and its State Associations hold a prominent place as a trade organization, advocating for independent agents nationwide. With 51 independent Big I State Associations, each guided by devoted executives and supported by volunteer Agent Board leadership, this organization plays a vital role in the independent insurance industry. As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Jones will be spearheading the Connecticut Chapter, the election to which recognizes him as an expert in the insurance industry.

Bob received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from the University of Hartford and is a veteran of the United States Army.  He is a former Board member of Connecticut Insurance & Financial Services (CT IFS). He is also a past officer and director for his local Chamber of Commerce, a former member of RIMS (The Risk Management Society) and has served on various local municipal boards.
