In November of 2020, Fairfield County Bank pledged $100,000 to the Playhouse as a part of their capital campaign. These funds were used for upgrading the Playhouse facilities. In a joint statement from Playhouse Managing Directors Ashley Paltauf and Jared Shahid, they explained that “community support is what keeps the venue thriving, and Fairfield County Bank continues to lead by example. As Allison Stockel was during her tenure here, we remain very grateful to Dan Berta and FFCB for all they do for Ridgefield.”

The Bank contributes annual to the Playhouse in support of their Arts in Education series and the Arts for Everyone program, which offers free and discounted tickets to students, seniors, and underserved communities. The program brought in 15,000 students to the Playhouse this past school year and provided lunches for almost 1,000 Title I School children.

“The Ridgefield Playhouse has been a pillar in our community for the last twenty years and an integral part of the arts and culture hub Ridgefield has become,” said Fairfield County Bank President, Daniel Berta. “Fairfield County Bank has been a proud partner of the Playhouse since their inception, and we are thrilled to have been able to contribute to the capital campaign and support the Playhouse through necessary upgrades.”

In addition to corporate contributions, Fairfield County Bank employees from across the organization volunteer each year as ushers during performances and prepare lunches for the Title I school field trips to Arts in Education performances.

The facility upgrades were completed in spring 2022, offering a completely revitalized lobby triple the size of the previous. The updated lobby includes hospitality spaces with a custom bar, concessions area and catering space. Additional space was utilized after the Board of Education moved out, allowing for Playhouse staff offices to move to the second floor of the building.
