FAIRFIELD COUNTY BANK ANNOUNCES RUDEN REPORT ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
Ridgefield, CT: Fairfield County Bank is proud to announce the six recipients of the 2023 Ruden Report Achievement Scholarship, powered by Fairfield County Bank.
The recipients are Polly Parsons-Hills and Emily Fox of New Canaan High School, Sydney Michel and Maddie Brooker of Ridgefield High School, Teagan Stengirm of Wilton High School, and Marin Banks of Staples High School. The Ruden Report Achievement Scholarship, powered by Fairfield County Bank, is awarded yearly to up to five Ruden Report student contributors based on meritorious performance, totaling $5,000.
Each of the recipients are graduating or current high school student contributors to the Ruden Report. Student contributors amplify the reach of the Ruden Report and can be seen on the sidelines of almost every high school sporting event in Fairfield County. “We are proud to help students with an interest in journalism carry that interest into college with them,” Fairfield County Bank Executive Vice President Stephen Wooters said of the scholarship. “Through their contributions to the Ruden Report, the scholarship recipients helped expand the coverage of our Fairfield County high school athletes.”
David Ruden owns and operates the Ruden Report. Mr. Ruden has been reporting on the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference for four decades. He spent nearly 20 years with the Stamford Advocate and has freelanced for the New York Times and CBS Sports.
Fairfield County Bank is also a proud sponsor of the Ruden Report’s Player and Team of the Week. To learn more about the Ruden Report and how it supports Fairfield County student athletes and coaches visit https://therudenreport.com.
