Ridgefield, CT—March 13, 2025: Laura Silver, Vice President and Marketing Manager of Fairfield County Bank, received the Innovator of the Year for the 2025 Ridgefield Business Awards. She was recently honored at the State of the Town Breakfast at the Lounsbury House in Ridgefield.

Each year, the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce recognizes business leaders in the community through the Business Awards. The Innovator of the Year is given to an individual or business who has had a profound impact on the Ridgefield community through innovative approaches to their line of business.

“Breaking new ground in business takes vision and courage, and Laura Silver of Fairfield County Bank has shown just that. Her innovative approach to banking and commitment to excellence make her a true trailblazer in the industry,” said Debbie Heron, Chamber President, in her introduction of the award.

Each awardee gave a short acceptance speech. In Ms. Silver’s, she spoke of her life-long connection to Ridgefield, having been born and raised in the community. For her, being honored by the town she has spent so much of her life dedicated to is a dream come true.

“Laura has spearheaded countless iterations of innovation at the Bank,” said Fairfield County Bank President, Daniel Berta. “In addition, her commitment to the Ridgefield community through her volunteerism and support of local businesses is commendable. We are thrilled that the Ridgefield Chamber has recognized her.”

Ms. Silver has been with Fairfield County Bank for over 15 years. Throughout her tenure, she has worked across every level of the Marketing department. In her current role as Vice President, Marketing Manager, she is responsible for brand management, implementing strategies pertaining to content marketing, social media, multi-channel advertising, and the management of the Marketing Department. Laura received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut, is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management, as well as the American Bankers Association’s Advanced Bank Marketing School, where she earned her Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) designation. She gives her time to The Ridgefield Playhouse’s Arts in Education program, Junior Achievement, and the Woodcock Nature Center.
