Fairfield County Bank Holds 155th Annual Meeting

Ridgefield, CT—July 15, 2026: Fairfield County Bank held its 155th Annual Meeting at the Silver Spring Country Club. The Annual Meeting is held to inform the Corporators on the financial solidity of the Bank, success and growth over the past year, and strategic plans for the coming year. The attendees included the Board of Directors, the Board of Incorporators, and the Senior Management of the Bank.

Ralph L. DePanfilis, Chairman of the Board, welcomed the attendees to the meeting and expressed gratitude to Jay Devine, for his exemplary dedication to the Bank during his 38-year tenure as a member of the Board of Directors.

David A. Schneider, CEO, and Daniel L. Berta, President, presented on the financials of the Bank, the product and service offering, innovation across the organization, and community engagement. The presentation highlights included a review of the strong financial position of the Bank in relation to the larger economic impacts on the industry from Mr. Schneider. He discussed the way maintaining a well-capitalized position has been a defining characteristic of the Bank’s 155-year history and will be the bedrock for the future success of the Bank. Fairfield County Bank’s leverage ratio stands at nearly three times the 5% standard required by federal regulators for financial institutions, underscoring the Bank’s commitment to prudent capital management and stability.

Mr. Berta spoke on a wide range of topics, including the Bank’s unwavering commitment to the Fairfield County community. In 2025 alone, the Bank contributed over $735,000 in corporate donations, while its employees volunteered more than 4,700 hours across 300+ local organizations. He also highlighted the Bank’s recognition as the #1 Bank in Connecticut by Forbes, based on an independent study conducted by Statista.  In accompaniment, Fairfield County Bank was also recognized as one of the top regional banks by Newsweek.

Mr. Berta also discussed the Bank’s Commercial Lending successes, which were repeatedly underscored throughout the year by the professional accolades given to three team members. Paul Lutsky, Vice President and Commercial Lender, was named to Fairfield County’s 40 Under Forty class; Virginia Turnbull, Senior Vice President and Commercial Lender, was recognized as a Women Innovators Honoree; and Glen LeBlanc, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, received the prestigious C-Suite Award from Westfair Business Journal.
