* Unauthorized funds taken from your account will be returned in accordance with Visa guidelines.
You can use your Visa Debit card at millions of places worldwide that accept Visa Debit cards. You can even make purchases online, by mail or over the phone. And you can pay your bills with your Visa Debit card.
When you sign for your purchases, you get security protections that help prevent, detect and resolve fraud.
On many terminals, pressing CREDIT allows you to sign for your transaction. Other terminals require you to swipe your card without being able to select CREDIT/DEBIT, and then prompt you for your PIN. In such cases, either press CANCEL to be able to sign or tell the cashier you want to sign.
To get cash back, press DEBIT instead of CREDIT. You will be prompted to enter your PIN and select the amount of cash that you want to complete the transaction.
If your card is lost or stolen, contact us immediately. This reduces your liability if losses from fraud have occurred. If you have misplaced your card, you can temporarily deactivate it using our online banking or mobile banking. If you find your card, you can reactivate it.
When you swipe your card, select CREDIT on the keypad and sign the receipt. You also receive added security protection for online, phone and mail orders, and for transactions under $25 that don't require a signature.
If your Visa Debit card is lost or stolen and fraudulent activity occurs, you are protected by Visa's Zero Liability policy.* Individual credit amounts are provided on a provisional basis and may be withheld, delayed, limited, or rescinded based on factors such as gross negligence or fraud, delay in reporting unauthorized use, investigation and verification of claim and account standing and history. You must notify Fairfield County Bank immediately of any unauthorized use. Transaction at issue must be posted to your account before provisional credit may be issued.
